Inge Halvdan Frederiksen 1970-2005
Inge Halvdan Frederiksen, Badger guitarist from the very start, has died, 34 years old. Inge will be deeply missed by us, his band mates and close friends through many years.

Recording in progress...
Badger will during the next week finish the recording session in Nordlyd Studio, Tromsø. Only the lead and backing vocals are left to put down on tape. So far the basic tracks promise a bit rougher production than on “C’mon girls!”. The recorded songs are Astroturf, She comes in colours, Champagne velvet and Motorcar. Stay tuned for more info on the recording sessions!

Recording again!
Badger will spend one week of February in Nordlyd Studio, Tromsø, recording brand new material. Five songs has allready been recorded as a pre-production at the studio at Tromsø Music College. The recording sessions will probably result in a new single release this spring.

Tromsø Rock Battle - Thursday Feb. 3rd
Thursday Feb. 3rd Badger joins up for the first round of "Tromsø Rock Battle" at Driv, Tromsø. Four bands will be competing for a spot in the finals, taking place later this spring, where the grand prize is studio sessions for 20.000 kr. The bands up for the first battle are Rølp'n'Riot, Taliban Airways, Anti Nation and - of course - Badger. Can jangly pop compete with hard hitting metal? The vote is yours - Thursday at Driv!

Badger joins charity concert
Along with various other Tromsø artists, Badger will be playing at a charity concert for the tsunami victims in South-East Asia, wednesday jan. 12. Among the other bands/artist on stage are Demonas, Ska Patrol and Geir Stenersen. We hope the people of Tromsø will show up and support the victims.

Tour list complete!
Two more gigs have been confirmed for this week's tour in Troms and Finnmark - Storslett (Dirty Nelly) and Honningsvåg (Bryggerie'). Tromsø (Kaos) and Hammerfest (Redrum) is also up for a real Badger pop'n'roll attack. The band will be performing some brand new songs, as well as some older material that never has been performed live before, so be there! See gigs for details.

More gigs!
Badger will do a small tour in Tromsø and Finnmark late November. Tromsø (Kaos) 24th and Hammerfest (Redrum) 26th are now confirmed. More dates will follow, so check back later!

Badger goes south!
Badger will visit and play in Oslo, Fredrikstad, Hønefoss and Skien in October. See gigs section for details.

New shows
Badger will be playing in Harstad and Svolvær in september together with fellow band Washington, also from Tromsø. Check gigs-section for details. More live dates for this autumn will follow soon!

The Badger/Washington concert in Harstad sep 25th was unfortunately cancelled. We promise to visit Harstad some other time - hopefully soon!

Badger DJs at Blå Rock
On wednesday June 2nd, Badger will be the in-house DJs at Blå Rock Café in Tromsø. The guest appearence is a part of the club's "Festival Café" concept, where local bands spin their favourite records and guests can win tickets to the 2004 summer music festivals. The Badger boys are eager record collectors, which means that guests at Blå Rock should expect a great variety of good music to accompany their beers and whatever else tickles their palates.

Big in Japan?
Latest news in the Badger camp is that C’mon girls! will be released in Japan! The Japanese label Wizzard in Vinyl (http://www.wizzard-in-vinyl.com) will release a special version of the album sometime in 2004. Official release date has not been set yet. Badger will do some recording sessions in jan/feb to lay down a few bonus tracks for the Japanese edition of the album. Pop on!

C'mon girls well recieved!
The first reviews on the new Badger album C'mon girls! have started to appear in Norwegian newspapers, and so far the reception has been excellent! Norwegian regionals Adresseavisen and Fædrelandsvennen, as well as website TromsoBy.no, all give out 5 out of 6 dots on the dice. Read more in the Press section.

Pics from Arctic Pop Explosion!
Friday November 28th Badger teamed up with fellow poppers and rockers Diamond and Just did Doris, and the thunderous threesome put up a great show at Driv, Tromsø. The evening went under the heading "Arctic Pop Explosion" - and a crowd of 250 happy people could witness what turned out to be a glorious night! Badger played a set of 12 songs, and was greatly supported by Jan Erik Vik on keyboards and Fred Glesnes and Petter Marius Gundersen on horns. Some cool pictures from Badgers show are now up for view in the "Pictures" section. All pictures are taken by Vidar Lindrupsen.

Arctic Pop Explosion vol 1 11-28-03
Badger will be playing together with Diamond and Just Did Doris at the “Arctic Pop Explosion” festival. It will be the greatest show ever presented to the arctic audience, brought to you from the main stage at driv on Friday the 28th of November.

“C’mon Girls!” will be released this week!
The new Badger album will most probably be in your local record store next Friday! Sources close to the band have confirmed the date and that the band is extremly pleased with the brand new album. “It will be our finest hour,” says a proud Isak Måseide, but he adds “this is only the beginning, no one knows what he future brings”.
