Inge Halvdan Frederiksen, Badger guitarist from the very start, has died, 34 years old.

This summer, Inge developed a fever. What looked like a bad case of the flu turned out to be the dangerous auto-immune virus disease HLH (read more).

Inge was hospitalised on 17th August. His condition seemed initially to be treatable, particularly after the medical personnel had made the HLH diagnosis. From Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th September, however, Inge's condition rapidly deteriorated. Just after midnight on Tuesday 6th September 2005, surrounded by his family, Inge died after a major brain haemorrhage.

The burial ceremony was held on Wednesday 14th September at Tromsø Gravlund. Inge was followed to his final place of rest by his family, friends, colleagues, and many others who knew and treasured Inge as the genuinely good and loyal person he was all his life.

Inge will be deeply missed by us, his band mates and close friends through many years. He will be remembered for his love of music, his wild enthusiasm on stage, his polite gentleness, and his strong devotion to friends and family. His memory will remain in our hearts.
